
Summer has most definitely arrived here in New-Brunswick and I found this drink to be a great sweet caffeinated treat for those hot afternoons!
Necessary equipement
- Espresso Machine (Or Aeropress)
- Cocktail shaker set
- Strainer
Ingredients
- Double shot of espresso (Can be substituted for Aeropresso)
- 30g Proper Pistachio Syrup
- 60g (approx. 2oz) Oatbox Barista Oat Milk
- 6 dashes Dashfire Cardamom bitters
- *Optional* Pinch of pistachio powder
Preparation
- Add Pistachio Syrup to shaker
- Prepare double shot of espresso and add to shaker
- Add 2 oz Oat Milk to Shaker
- Add 6 dashes Cardamom bitters to shaker and fill with ice.
- Shake for 30 seconds until shaker is frosty
- Double strain in chilled coupe glass
- *Optional* By pinching between your thumb and index, sprinkle pistachio powder in a line across the beverage
Note: Specific brands indicated in recipe are brands I have personally tried and found to yield a better result. They may be substituted for other brands. My philosophy when is that using higher quality ingredients will typically yield a superior final result.
